通用型埋刮板輸送機對所輸送的物料有下列要求：
1、物料容重：γ=0.2~1.8t/m3；
2、物料溫度：t<100°C；
3、含水率：對于一般物料，不得使物料用手捏成團后不易松散；對于含水率增加后會增大粘著性和壓結性的物料，不能使物料嚴重粘附刮板。
4、粒度：物料的粒度與其硬度有關，粒度太大，則不宜輸送。
